The University Health Professions Office (UHPO) invites you to participate in our annual Health Professions Day at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Through Health Professions Day, UTSA hosts representatives from health professions programs from across the state and the nation as well as from international institutions to visit with students who are interested in pursuing health careers. The event, including seminars, is free and open to all UTSA students, as well as to students at local colleges and universities, high school students, faculty, staff, and community members with an interest in learning more about health professions careers. UTSA’s Health Professions Day is part of group of institutions that host health professions fairs across Texas. These schools include Texas A&M University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Houston. Schedule of Seminars Along with the opportunity it will provide students to meet face-to-face with health professions program representatives, Health Professions Day 2012 will also offer several presentations throughout the day. Roster of Participating Schools and Programs Representatives from several health professions related programs will be available to talk to students at our information fair in the UC Ballrooms throughout Health Professions Day 2012. Preparation Materials for Students Students who wish to attend Health Professions Day 2012 should prepare to make the most of their experience. As part of this preparation, students are welcome to read and print out tips for attending a health professions fair and questions to consider asking health professions program representatives. Driving and Parking Directions and Maps We have already emailed all bus parking info to our participating high schools. If you represent one of these schools and need the information again, please email us at hpoffice@utsa.edu. If you are a school representative planning to attend HP Day at UTSA, you should have already received parking information in your confirmation emails from us. If you have not received this information, please contact us at hpoffice@utsa.edu. If you will be attending HP Day activities as a visitor and are coming to campus in a personal vehicle, please click here for driving and parking directions to campus. Parking will be free for visitors in Lot 11. To coincide with those directions, here is a map for those planning to enter campus from UTSA Blvd. off of I-10 and here is a map for those planning to enter campus from Babcock Rd. off of Loop 1604.
