2nd Runner Up: The Garza Family, from San Antonio, as nominated by graduate student John Garza
Here is your chance to honor your family with a nomination for this year's UTSA Family of the Year contest. Submit a typed essay which specifies why you have a great UTSA family! The winner of the contest will receive:
- Two airline tickets compliments of Southwest Airlines. Fly to anywhere Southwest flies!
- Complimentary guest accommodations at a San Antonio hotel of your choice.*
- Complimentary tickets for your family (up to 4 members) to the Homecoming/Family Weekend Men’s Basketball game on Saturday, March 1 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
- A commemorative plaque** presented to you and your family Saturday, March 1 during halftime of the men’s basketball game.
* Winning family has an option to choose from the following hotels: The Westin La Cantera Resort- luxury at its finest, located minutes from UTSA, or The Radisson Hotel, minutes from the heart of downtown San Antonio.
**A perpetual plaque will also honor the Family of Year at UTSA.
