Students are considered to be members of the Honors College in good standing if they maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher and have completed an Honors course in the past 12 months. New members must take their first Honors course within 12 months of their acceptance into the College.
Students will be dismissed from the Honors College for the following reasons: * if they go for 12 months without taking an Honors course * if their cumulative GPA drops below 2.5 * if they are on probation with the Honors College and fail to make a term GPA of 3.25
Students whose cumulative or UTSA GPA (whichever is lower) drops below 3.25 will be placed on academic probation. Students on probation can be dismissed if their term GPA drops below 3.25 in any subsequent semester. Students will remain on probation until their cumulative or UTSA GPA reaches 3.25. Students cannot graduate from the Honors College as long as they remain on Honors probation. |
