Committees

6.2 UT San Antonio Standing Committees

  1. University Standing Committees

In order to review and assist in the preparation of policies on academic, student, and institutional administration of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), the President appoints standing committees as deemed necessary. A panel of suggested names is normally submitted to the President by the Committee on Committees.

The President is an Ex Officio member of all University Standing Committees and prepares the charge for the standing committee and designates the chairperson. All Standing Committees, their charge, and their structure are listed on UTSA's website at www.utsa.edu/gov/Standing%20Committees.html.

  2. University Standing Committee on Committees

The responsibility of the University Standing Committee on Committees is to assist the President in the appointment of UTSA standing committees. In submitting nominations for members of standing committees to the President, the Committee shall in all cases provide a panel containing at least three names for each committee vacancy.
