Chaparral Village

Chaparral Village is an on-campus residence facility that houses approximately 1000 students. The apartment-style living offers students a private bedroom in either a 2-bedroom or 4-bedroom suite. Students will share a bathroom with only one other person.

Each fully furnished suite will have a living room area and kitchenette.

Rates include all utilities, cable, high speed Internet in each bedroom, and local telephone services with free long distance in the United States. Cable, telephone and Internet connections are located in each bedroom and cable is available in each living room. Each student will be assigned his or her own telephone number.

There are five neighborhood centers located in the complex. The neighborhood centers include laundry facilities, study rooms, computer labs, full-size kitchens and recreational/programming areas.

Chaparral Village also includes a gate access system at night, community swimming pool, and outside picnic areas along with barbeque grills.

Housing Application

Laurel Village

Laurel Village provides student housing in an apartment style. Each student is a ssigned a private bedroom that shares a common living area and kitchenette. There will be four (4) common area buildings throughout the complex. A portion of Laurel Village opened Fall 2007 and the remaining portion will open for Fall 2008. Laurel Village is located on the north side of the campus and is close to the University Center. It is adjacent to the Roadrunner Café.

Amenities

  • Phase I of Laurel Village houses 206 students and has two community buildings.
  • Phase II of Laurel Village will add an additional 464 beds and two more community buildings.
  • On-site laundry facilities located in each of the Neighborhood Centers
  • Study rooms available for individual students or student groups in each Neighborhood Center
  • Computer lab available in the City Center, main building
  • Cable television, high speed internet, telephone services including unlimited long distance is provided by Time Warner.
  • Kitchenettes include a full size refrigerator and microwave.
  • Full kitchens with stoves and microwaves are provided in each of the common buildings.
  • Basketball court will be added with Phase II.
  • Residents of Chaparral Village and Laurel Village will share the pool area at Chaparral Village.

Roommate and Room Assignment Information for Chaparral Village and Laurel Village.

 

You will receive an email notification that your room assignment has been completed in late July. You may view your room assignment and who your roommate will be from the housing portal.

 

 

 

 

Chisholm Hall

Managed and owned by Campus Living Villages, Chisholm Hall is a residence hall style facility that offers all the advantages of living on-campus. Chisholm Hall is close to classes and campus activities and residents have access to a wide range of community resources. All rooms are 365 square feet and include a private bathroom with double vanities. Rates include all utilities, free local telephone, and high speed Internet access. Cable connections are available in each room. Microwaves and refrigerators are welcome. The Activity Center area is where residents gather to enjoy an indoor, heated pool, or kick back and enjoy hanging out with their friends. There is also a Movie/Gaming Theatre with Digital Surround. There is 24-hour access to an individual and/or small group study area. Along the front side of the Chisholm is a sand volleyball court. Residents of Chisholm are not required to purchase a meal plan, and a full service kitchen is located within the hall for residents to use. Make the grade and receive an academic rebate at the end of each semester. It pays to live at Chisholm Hall!

University Oaks

Managed and owned by Campus Living Villages, University Oaks offers true apartment style accommodations in efficiencies, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 4-bedroom units. All apartments have a full service kitchen complete with stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and built-in dining/study area. Each resident will enjoy the privacy of their own bedroom and a limit of only two residents per bathroom. There are three laundry facilities located within the complex along with three pools and a spa for residents to use. Residents can enjoy the "Rowdy House" clubhouse equipped with pool tables, a big screen television, juke box and electronic darts. In addition, there are BBQ pavilions located at various locations along with two sand volleyball courts and basketball courts. Each bedroom is equipped with Internet and extended basic cable television. Each apartment has telephone and cable outlets in the common areas. Rates include an electric allowance, water, garbage, and sewage. Residents must set up their own phone through local providers. Two-bedroom and four-bedroom units are fully furnished. A one-time furniture rental fee is required at the beginning of each lease period. Meal plans are optional.
