Meal plans for Residents
Effective Fall 2013, all residents with fewer than 30 credit hours must choose from one of the Access Plans. Residents with 31-48 hours must choose from one of the Access or Upperclassman plans. For those with more than 48 hours, no meal plan is required, although strongly encouraged.
Please Note:
Installments for Chaparral Village, Laurel Village and San Saba Hall are charged to the student's UTSA account. Each payment is due on the 1st of each month. Billings for tuition and fees do not usually include future housing and meal plan charges. It is important to check your ASAP account periodically to confirm your housing and meal plan charges have been credited.
American Express, Discover, and MasterCard are accepted at the university only online or by phone. Visa is not accepted by the university. Credit card payments are not accepted at any Fiscal Services office for student payments. A convenience fee of 2.0 % will be added to each credit card transaction. Visa is not accepted by the University. Please include the student's name and Banner ID number on all payments made with checks.

Accounts are considered late if the payment is received after the 1st of each month. A $30.00 housing late fee will be added to the account for each late payment.
If you are receiving financial aid, please note: Financial Aid pays tuition and fees first, and then housing and meal plans. Financial aid will continue to disburse until either there is no balance due or there is no more financial aid to disburse. Any additional housing charges will be due monthly. Just because you are receiving financial aid does not mean that your housing will be covered. You need to verify the amount of your financial aid and then determine how much of your housing and meal plan will be covered. Please make sure that all of your financial aid paperwork is complete.
