What qualifies a student as Benefits eligible?
Employees (Graduate Research Assistants, Graduate Assistants, and Teaching Assistants) who are hired to work at least 20 hours per week for 4 ½ months or longer (135 days).
Where do I park for DAY ONE and do I need a permit?
The Day O.N.E. @ UTSA orientation is held at the University Heights location (5723 University Heights Blvd. Suite 500) where parking permits are NOT required to park at this facility.
Will food be provided?
Food will not be provided, but you have the options of bringing your own lunch or eating at the local restaurants in the area.
How does the department sign up a benefits eligible student?
The department will fill out the Benefits Eligible Student Excel Spreadsheet and send back to DayOne@utsa.edu or you can call Day ONE at 458-7962.
What if I already know I want to waive the UT System benefits?

What do I need to bring to orientation?
- Jacket/ Sweater (the temperature varies)
