Although employees are encouraged to utilize vacation in the year in which accrued, they may carry forward unused vacation from one fiscal year to the next. The schedule presented below indicates the maximum amount of vacation hours that may be carried forward from the current fiscal year to FY 2005. All hours of unused accumulated vacation leave over the maximum number as of August 31, 2004 will be automatically added to the employee's sick leave balance. The maximum carry-over for part-time employees will be proportionate to their percent time of appointment. Regular, benefits-eligible employees accrue vacation time at the rate set by the State of Texas General Appropriations Act as follows: |
