Summary
|
· Function: To provide advanced
skills in the interpretation of student-athlete qualifications for admission,
eligibility and residency. · Scope: Responsible for overseeing and reviewing student-athlete
applications and documents and applying rules and regulations to determine
eligibility and residency status. |
Duties
|
· Typical: 1. Oversees and performs reviews of student applications and verification documents to determine residency status. Counsels students, parents, faculty and staff on residency and documentation requirements. 2. Communicates with students, parents and outside agencies regarding documentation for residency status and admissions eligibility. 3. Reviews applications, transcripts and academic documents to determine eligibility of student athletes as required by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. 4. Interacts with the Coordinating Board, Admissions Office, Athletics Office and Legal Counsel on current policies and regulations. 5. Reviews documents and transcripts for students in joint and special programs to determine eligibility status. Ensures enrollment in proper courses. 6. Uses independent judgment to resolve complex problems. 7. Maintains student files and records. 8. Addresses unusual or complicated issues referred by subordinates or other staff. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. · Periodic: 1.

Education

Required |

Two years (60 credit hours) of college courses from an accredited
institution. |
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. |
