Summary

 

·  Function:   To provide skilled clerical support for the performance of a variety of complex admission tasks.

 

·  Scope:      Responsible for assisting in the professional performance of admission duties including a variety of advanced clerical assignments.

 

Duties

 

·  Typical:

1.      Reviews incoming documents to determine completeness of admission files.  Enters information into admissions database and assists in tracking student progress.  Notifies applicants of incomplete admissions files.

2.      Greets visitors, answers inquiries and assists in the admission process.  Assists with answering complex inquiries.

3.      Distributes outgoing and incoming material on a daily basis.

4.      Collects application fees and submits deposit transmittal forms.

5.      Prepares monthly activity reports.

6.      With assistance, replies to phone calls, correspondence and e-mail from prospective students and their family members.

7.      Assists in the coordination, organization and participation in programs, events and other recruitment opportunities.

8.      Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

 

Required

Preferred

High school graduation or GED.

College level courses in a related field.

 

Other Requirements

Able to work independently with numerous interruptions.

Experience

Two years of clerical or office experience.

Similar experience in higher education with frequent customer/student interaction.
