About the Survey

As we in Business Affairs work on improving our partnerships within UTSA, we need to evaluate our progress. We will be using the Survey of Organizational Excellence (SOE) again this year.

This confidential Survey is a tool to gauge our organization's successes and to identify areas for improvement. It is administered by The Center for Organizational Excellence at UT Austin and has been used for more than 20 years at other state offices as a tool to build quality and excellence in organizations. 

The Survey:

• Gives employees a way to give their opinion about their work place
• Allows management to get the “pulse” of the organization
• Provides information about work force issues that impact the quality of service ultimately delivered to our customers and each other
• Provides data for strategic planning initiatives
• Fosters responsiveness to staff needs, ability to learn and areas to focus for greater success
• Helps senior managers set direction for improvement programs and measure progress
