| Course Description | This session is required by the State of Texas for all faculty, staff and students engaged in work with radioactive materials. Contents include: Understanding the nature and hazards of radiation, Techniques for working with radiation, How to protect yourself from radiation, Monitoring for radiation, Personnel dosimetry and UTSA procedures for acquiring, using and disposing of radioactivity, Required record keeping, Employee rights and Emergency procedures. | |||||
