My research and teaching interests are best summarized as the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies for improved understanding and management of natural resources. Because my academic and professional background includes a combination of hydrologic, geologic, and environmental sciences, as well as engineering and geography, I enjoy teaching and research topics that are highly interdisciplinary. Since joining the faculty at UTSA I have been working to establish a cohesive group of faculty and students that are interested in advancing GIS and water resources science and engineering. Please visit the Hydrologic Modeling and GIS Laboratory web-page for an overview of our research group.
