Inclusion and Community Engagement Center Advisory Board

The advisory Board advises the Center staff on matters related to the operation and long-range planning for the Center. Policy considerations shall encompass all phases of the Center operation exclusive of compensation and employment decisions.

While the Advisory Board will not be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Center, the opinions and advice of representatives of the campus community are solicited through this Body. The purposes of this board are as follows:

  • To advise the Center Staff on Matters of policies and procedures related to the administration and services of the Inclusion and Community Engagement Center.
  • To provide feedback on the programs sponsored by the Center.
  • To provide input on the growth and expansion of the Center.
  • Provide input relative to Board meeting agenda items.

The Board will have a maximum of six members with four of the Board members being students and two of the members being non-students. The students members of the Board will be representative of the target groups which the Center serves and must be enrolled at least part-time during their term of servidce. Representatives on the Board will be nominated by the Center staff and appointed by the Director. The Board will determine a Chair for a one-year term each fall.

The Director, Associate Director, and Assistant Director for Volunteer Services will also serve on the Board as ex-officio members.

New Members shall be appointed or selected during the spring semester for service during the following academic year. Orientation for all members will be conducted during summer sessions.

The Advisory Board shall meet twice during both the fall and spring semester at a time and place designated by the Chairperson. In addition, if needed at least one meeting shall be held during the summer sessions.
