Civil Rights Trip

Be the first to take part in this social justice trip that will take you to New Orleans, Birmingham and Memphis.
Trip Dates
January 10–14, 2012 with participation in the MLK March on January 16, 2012 in San Antonio.
During the five day trip, students will explore various social justice issues related to civil rights, such as race, gender, sexuality and disabilities. The trip's curriculum will include touring national museums, discussion groups, documentaries, guest lectures, and reflection activities.
Click here for an application. Application deadline is September 29th at 4pm. Applications can be turned into the Student Leadership Center or the Inclusion Community Engagement Center.
Important Information:
- All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee.
- If you are chosen, you will be required to pay a nonrefundable fee of $150 which can be paid in full, or set up as installments. Additional payment information will follow once the selections have been made.
- All participants selected will be REQUIRED to attend preliminary meetings.
