Roadrunners Give Back
As part of UTSA Homecoming Week, students and alumni are invited to volunteer for Roadrunners Give Back, the official UTSA Homecoming service project. The event is a chance for UTSA students and alumni to come together in the spirit of community service.
OXFAM Hunger Banquet
The OXFAM Hunger Banquet is an experiential dinner, where participants eat a meal based on the class/status that they draw on their way in the door. Participants have the opportunity to learn about global hunger issues, and participate in group discussion about the causes and realities of hunger.
United Way Days of Caring
UTSA participates in this annual San Antonio service initiative each October.
Alternative Spring Break

An alternative break program places teams of college students in communities to engage in community service and experiential learning during their spring breaks. UTSA VOICES has sponsored trips since 2004. ASB empowers and challenges students to understand their relationship within the global community through education, reflection, and direct service while on weeklong service trips over spring break. Past trips included Atlanta, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Big Bend, and Piedras Negras, Mexico.

United to Serve
United to Serve is an all-day event in which UTSA students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to go out into the community and volunteer. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of projects. It is a day for UTSA to make a difference!
Student Volunteer of the Year
Volunteer Services will recognize one outstanding student volunteer per year. Check out the requirements and fill out an application.
Better World Books Campaign
At the end of each semester, we collect unwanted textbooks and give them to non-profit literacy organizations (Books for Africa, Room to Read, or National Center for Family Literacy.)
