The UTSA icon was developed in 1994 as part of the identifying brand to be used in conjunction with the UTSA logo, or as a stand-alone. While the icon is still officially part of the university brand, the UTSA logo/wordmark is more recognizable as the main brand to internal and external constituencies. Additionally, optimizing the icon for use on the Web rendered the image unusable without modifications to the artwork, which is in direct violation of the operating procedures of the university. Hence, the icon will no longer be used for electronic or print publishing at UTSA. |
