Description: Come celebrate the third-annual International Education Week gallery showing! The wnners of the student and the faculty/staff competitions will be announced at this event.

Between Peril and Promise: Reporting Mexico in the Age of Narco War
Time: 6:15 p.m., reception; 7 p.m., film screening, "Reportero"
Location: Buena Vista Theater, Downtown Campus

Description: Public screening of the documentary Reportero by filmmaker Bernardo Ruiz. The story follows a veteran reporter and his colleagues at Zeta, a Tijuana-based independent newsweekly, as they stubbornly ply their trade in one of the deadliest places in the world for the media.

Discover Taiwan Through Films: "Love"

Description: Eight people try to end their loneliness by searching for that one person to love, who can make their life complete. This film will illustrates the cross-strait culture gap as a theme in people-to-people relations between Taiwan and Mainland China.

Description: Dallas Morning News Mexico City correspondent Alfredo Corchado will read from his new book, a tale of how he witnessed and recorded the rise of the Narco War even as his life was threatened.
