This fellowship supports thirty individuals a year for up to two years of graduate study anywhere in the United States.

This scholarship was established by Dr. Ken Weiher, on September 1989, in memory of UTSA alumna MJ Simonson, BA History '79. M.J. Simonson was a former pre-law student as well as the close friend of Dr. Weiher. The UTSA Alumni Scholarship program provides this scholarship to Institute students who want to pursue law school.
