Latino Heritage Month: September 15 to October 15

The events and programs surrounding Latino Heritage Month on campus are led and planned by student planning committees usually made up of 10 to 15 individuals. The goal of planning committees is to bring students together across disciplines and organizations in order to commemorate Latino culture and heritage. Latino Heritage Month on the UTSA campus has consisted of festivals, speakers, film screenings, panel discussions, and a banquet. Key events and programs for the month include Calle UTSA and the Latino Heritage Banquet.

Black Heritage Month: February

The events and programs surrounding Black Heritage Month on the UTSA campus are led and planned by student planning committees usually made up of 10 to 15 individuals. The goal of the Black Heritage Month planning committes is to bring students together across disciplines and organizations in order to commemorate the rich culture and history that is Black heritage. Black Heritage Month on the UTSA campus has consisted of musical events, speakers, film screenings, a Black history trivia competition, and a banquet. Key events and programs for the month include Soul Train and the Black Heritage Banquet.
