Features

  • File Versioning allows you to track the changes made to a file by allowing you to keep a separate copy of the file every time it is updated.
  • File Check-out allows a user to have exclusive control of a file, thereby preventing two users from updating the file at the same time.
  • File Logging/Auditing allows you to keep a record of who accesses a file and when it was accessed.
  • The Classification feature allows the department to set up an environment that ensures regulatory compliance. Department policy can be enforced through the use of Document Classes, Document Class Properties, Retention Rules and Permission Templates.
  • Workflow allows you to track and monitor each of your documents as they are routed among your colleagues by logging the accomplishment of each required step in the process, including Approval, Review and other notification types.
  • Custom Properties can be attached to any file or directory that you upload. It allows you to add additional identifying information, like an article's author, to the standard file properties.
  • Subscriptions can be set for a file so that you can be automatically notified when a file or directory has been viewed, changed or commented on. Notifications can also be set up to be delivered at a specific time each day.
  • Store files that you need to access while at home, in the office or on the road.
  • Share files with colleagues at UTSA or at other institutions,
  • Publish web pages for viewing by the public at large or by a restricted group of people at UTSA,
  • Create ticket based access to files and directories - this means you can e-mail an individual a link to a document or file. This will save space on both your e-mail inbox as well as theirs.
