Anti-Spam QuarantineOne of the methods UTSA employs to protect our users from unwanted mail in the Sybari Anti-Spam Quarantine system. You can use the system to block mail from unwanted users or domains, or allow email to reach you from addresses you know to be good. UTSA Spam Quarantine ReportIf you receive an email from the UTSA Spam Postmaster, it means the Sybari Anti Spam system has quarantined an email that was sent to you. How Sybari works with our mail system. Managing your Anti-Spam RulesTo manage your anti-spam rules (i.e. which email addresses or domains to allow or deny access to send to you), you will need to login to the Anti-Spam Quarantine system. We recommend using Internet Explorer as your web browser, as other browsers (such as Firefox) do not currently work correctly with this site. Figure 1. Log in with your UTSARR username and password. You will enter the Rules Editor page of the system. Figure 2. You can either Edit an existing rule, Delete a no-longer needed rule, or Add a new rule: Figure 3. In the "From Address or Domain Name:" field, either enter the email address (user@domain.com) or the domain (domain.com, no @ sign) you wish to work with. Then choose to either Approve Source to allow email to bypass the Anti-Spam filter and reach you, or Block Source to prevent mail from that user or domain from reaching you. |
