Managing Outlook Folder Size

Follow these steps to view your Exchange mailbox size in Outlook.  Please choose the version of Outlook installed on your system

Outlook 2000/2002

Right-click Outlook Today, and select Properties.

Click the "Folder Size" button

Outlook 2003

Choose from the Outlook menu Tools->Mailbox Cleanup.

Click the "View Mailbox Size..." button

Viewing your mailbox size in this way can help you determine how much mail is actually in your account, and which folders have the largest files.

Please note that using the Mailbox Cleanup wizard to delete mail will permanently delete mail from the mailbox, so it is always best to view each folder individually before using it to clean up your mailbox.
