UTSA Year of Service logo

Cardboard Kids UTSA is a university-wide child abuse prevention awareness campaign and contest for all UTSA students, faculty, staff and local alumni. Partnering with ChildSafe and in honor of the university's urban-serving mission, UTSA is serving as an official distribution site for the city-wide Cardboard Kids campaign this year. Presented by UTSA Volunteer Services and VOICES—the university's student-run volunteer organization—UTSA will engage the entire university community in this effort to draw attention to the pervasiveness of child abuse. Roadrunners will decorate hundreds of two-foot-tall Cardboard Kid figures, then display them throughout campus on Reveal Day, April 4. A contest for the best UTSA Cardboard Kids will take place on Reveal Day, with UTSA's First Lady Peggy Eighmy serving as special guest judge.
