CONFIRMATION OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES
FOR F-1 and J-1 VISA HOLDERS

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) mandates F-1 visa and J-1 visa student’s must provide documentation of financial resources for their first year of study prior to issuance of the I-20/DS 2019. When submitting the Confirmation of Financial Resources (CFR) form you must attach your supporting documentation to the CFR form. Do not submit the CFR form without attaching the supporting documentation.

We encourage you to read all of the information listed here regarding the Confirmation of Financial Resources form and supporting documentation as it is your responsibility to submit valid supporting documentation. Failure to do so will result in a delay of receiving your I-20.

As you review the financial information, please remember that the totals are estimated. Why are we providing estimated totals and not specific figures?  Living expenses (room and board) and personal expenses (i.e. food, clothes, etc.) vary due to individual needs.

The cost of tuition is determined by the legislature of the State of Texas and fees are established by the UT Board of Regents. Your fees are also dependant on which degree program you choose and which classes you register for. There are additional fees associated with your course selection, degree program and miscellaneous, such as parking (if applicable). The cost of tuition is subject to change without notice.
