UTSA International Education Fund

The University of Texas at San Antonio offers scholarships to students studying abroad though the International Education Fund. These scholarships range from $300 to $3600 per student. Applications are evaluated by UTSA's International Education Financial Aid Committee, and are assessed on the overall quality of the application, the letter of reference, financial need, and how well the chosen program matches a student's degree plan at UTSA. AmericanAirlines Global Leader Travel Scholarship

American Airlines has selected UTSA as one of a handful of colleges to sponsor a Global Leaders Travel Scholarship. The winner of this prestigious scholarship will be awarded a round trip ticket to any study abroad destination served directly by American Airlines. One winner will be selected for each Fall and Spring semester. There will be two competition cycles per year; Fall and Spring. APPLY NOW!

Gilman International Scholarship

The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad. Such international study is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world.

 

The Gilman scholarship aims to support students who have been traditionally under-represented in study abroad, including but not limited to, students with high financial need, community college students, students in under-represented fields such as the sciences and engineering, students with diverse ethnic backgrounds, and students with disabilities. The program seeks to assist students from a diverse range and type of public and private institutions from all 50 states.

UTSA Financial Aid

In addition, students may use all federal and state financial aid, as well as alternative and private loans, and grants to finance study abroad programs.  Please refer to the Financial Aid Checklists links below for more details.
