Orientation registration begins at 8:00am and ends at 8:45am. Orientation will begin promptly at 9:00am. Any student who arrives after the orientation registration period will not be permitted to attend orientation so please be sure to arrive early to allow for registration.
During the orientation registration period you will receive a personalized Checklist of Things to Do, a Welcome Packet, one lunch ticket and one red ticket. Your Checklist of Things to Do will tell you if you have other requirements to complete before you will be allowed to register. These requirements are considered holds on your account which means they will prohibit you from registering for any classes. Examples of requirements you may need to complete would be the Health Services (Tuberculosis test), English Language Assessment Program (ELAP) test, AccuPlacer test, academic advisor appointment, etc.  Please do not contact our office for a list of your personalized items.  To find out your personalized requirements you must log into the Automated Student Access Program (ASAP) account using your student ID number which you received in your admissions acceptance letter. Click on Student Services and then click on Check your Registration Status.
After orientation registration you will enter the auditorium and orientation will begin promptly at 9am with announcements, guest speakers, and further instructions.
Immigration check-in will begin after lunch. At that time our office will copy your immigration documents and you will be required to fill out a Personal Information sheet. You must bring your passport, visa, I-94, your I-20/DS-2019 or any other relevant immigration documents regarding your immigration status in the U.S. Failure to submit any of the above documents will result in a hold on your record.
Please be aware that you will not be able to enroll in any UTSA classes until you have attended the International Student Orientation on August 12, 2009 and your paperwork is processed through our office.
