Please be aware that you will not be able to enroll in any UTSA classes until you have attended the New International Student Orientation on August 13, 2008 andyour paperwork is processed through our office.
 
Orientation will include Immigration Check-in which means our office will make copies of your immigration documents. Immigration Check-in must be completed before you can register for classes. Orientation includes:
 
1.  A day of special presentations by offices offering services and information to international students. 

These presentations may include:

Immigration Rules and Responsibilities
Health Insurance Waivers
Housing
Banking
Recreation and Wellness Center
Health Services
Learning Assistance
Safety on Campus and in the Community
Student Code of Conduct
American Culture

2.  Immigration Check-in

3.  Assistance with getting to required tests (TB, ELAP, and AccuPlacer)

4. Academic Advising sessions

5.  Welcome party

Early Check-in is available for selected students. Early Check-In begins on June 9, 2008 and ends on August 1, 2008. If you miss early check-in you must attend Orientation on August 13, 2008. To be eligible for early check-in you must meet the following requirements:

An F1/J1 visa holder who is currently in the U.S. attending a U.S. school whose SEVIS transfer has been completed,

All other visa types who are currently in the U.S. attending a U.S. school
