Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP)



 

The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program (LSAMP) at the University of Texas at San Antonio is currently underway!  Undergraduate students in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field who are planning to continue their studies in a graduate program and interested in conducting research with Faculty members are encouraged to apply!


The University of Texas System's Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation brings together all nine academic components of
The University of Texas System and 8 regional community college districts in an effort to increase the number of undergraduate and graduate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through summer research participation which includes student stipends and mentoring.


 
We are currently accepting applications for the 2006 Summer Research Academy from qualified juniors and seniors currently attending UTSA.
 

Program Requirements include:
  • applicants must be full-time students majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field. 

  • applicants must be a Junior or Senior at UTSA (completed 45 semester hours at the time of application)

  • applicants must have a minimum 2.8 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale.

  • applicants must be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.

  • The application must be received by February 15, 2006.
