The San Antonio: Making Mentoring a Partnership (SA:MMAP) Scholarship is a collaborative effort between various San Antonio Area businesses, community based organizations, and The University of Texas at San Antonio. The SA:MMAP Scholarship is designed to provide access to higher education for seniors who have benefited from at least two years in a mentoring program (including the senior year). This scholarship program will connect the scholarship recipient to UTSA’s successful ACE program. The ACE program promotes academic success through a variety of programs including learning communities, tutoring and individual advising. These students have the opportunity to sharpen the academic skills necessary to succeed at the university level and build a cadre of positive support mechanisms and relationships.
