1. Study of Antarctic sea ice and its relation with globe climate change using ICEsat and other satellites (pdf) (Burcu Cicek)

2. Using AMSR-E and MODIS to study the snow, ice concentration, ice extent of Antarctic sea ice zone (Mike Lewis)

3. Sea Ice Mass Balance in the Antarctic - SIMBA Drift Station supported by NSF Office of Polar Programs ($595,000) for the period 09/2006-08/2010. Professor Steve Ackley is the PI. More details about this project and field trip to Antarctic in September to October 2007 can be found from here).

A scientific expedition to Antarctic (December 8-30, 2006) conduced to examine the sea ice and its variability, which will be used to validate the Satellite-derived geophysical products on sea ice. Here is a list of participants.
