SAMF Events
The San Antonio Mentoring Forum (SAMF) serves as an informal organization for mentoring organizations and advocates. It is a place to share mentoring information, promote mentoring awareness, learn of mentoring best-practices and foster collaboration in the mentoring community.
The forum also promotes events of partnering organizations in an effort to bring awareness to the San Antonio and Greater Bexar County area community of the various activities and opportunities to mentor and support mentoring efforts.

- Big Brothers Big Sisters Teams with the Mayor’s Office and Rackspace
- Friday, May 15, Noon- 1:30 p.m.

On Friday, May 15th, Mentoring Matters to the Mayor Program will join mentors from Rackspace with children at Ed White Middle School in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas program. Mentoring Matters to the Mayor (MMM) is a program that was designed to connect students to careers, beginning with a seventh grade “match” to continue through high school. Professionals serve as mentors to act as an adult sounding board for a student’s career exploration and college application.
