The University of Texas at San Antonio now offers two additional doctoral programs; a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering.

UTSA faculty and students began working in Honduras three years ago and have helped locate sufficient water sources to drill nine new wells, with plans to drill 25 more.

 

 

Faculty from both institutions will develop collaborative research projects and plan joint courses, conferences, seminars, symposiums and lectures.

 

 

UTSA President Ricardo Romo and University of Honduras Rector Guillermo Perez-Cadalso Arias signed a memorandum of understanding in Oct. 2004 to cooperate in water resource research and jointly address the problems of water supply in rural areas of Honduras.
