Known Issues in Blackboard

The following is a list of current known issues regarding Blackboard Learn (Release 9.1) at UTSA.  Office of Digital Learning is aware of these issues and is working with Blackboard to provide fixes in future service packs to the system. If you encounter any additional issues, please report them by sending an email to oitconnect@utsa.edu.

​Reorder Course Menu ​The drag and drop action in the Course Menu and Content Area works intermittently​

Use Keyboard Accessible Reordering: Menu Items or Keyboard Accessible Reordering:​ 
​Changing background color and course themes.

Unable to change background colors. ​Learn 2016 theme does not support:
  • Color settings and background images.
  • Course  themes
​Google Chrome Web Browser

Affected tools and Features:
  • ​Collaborate 
  • Authored contents that require Java; for example, some older SCORM packages or publisher content

  • Multi-File Drag-and-Drop in the Content Collection or Course Files area

Chrome no longer supports NPAPI (technology required for Java applets)

Google's Chrome version 45 (released on September 1, 2015) drops support for NPAPI, impacting plugins for Silverlight, Java, Facebook Video and other similar NPAPI based plugins

Please use Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari instead of Chrome.
