Encryption

Data encryption is a process of securing computer files by instituting safeguards that make the files unreadable to everyone except for the holder of the encryption key. Data encryption is required on all university-owned laptops and certain desktops. UTSA uses FileVault and BitLocker encryption services.

Visualization Laboratory (VizLab)

The UTSA Advanced Visualization Laboratory (VizLab), managed by the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Research Computing Support Group (RCSG), allows researchers from all disciplines of art, science, and engineering to conduct simulation and visualization research to better understand complex phenomena and translate data into images on large-scale and high-resolution visualization walls or other display devices.
