Roadrunner roundup-new student orientation
Disclaimer
Before you can make your Roundup reservation, you must read and agree to the following statements:
I have read and understand all the information provided in Orientation and Transition Services website http://www.utsa.edu/orientation/
I understand that Roadrunner Roundup-new student orientation-is mandatory for all new students with 0-29 hours attending UTSA. I am unable to register for classes unless I fully attend a Roadrunner Roundup session.
1604 campus
I understand the 2008 Roundup program at the 1604 campus is a three day program with a mandatory residential overnight requirement. Each Roundup begins at 8:30am on Day One and ends at 5:30pm on Day Three. I understand that it is NOT possible to leave before 5:30pm on Day Three. I understand that attendance at all orientation sessions is mandatory.
DT campus
I understand the 2008 Roundup program at the Downtown campus is a two day program with an optional residential requirement. The program begins at 8:30am on Day One and ends at 5:30pm. Day Two begins at 8am and ends at 5:30pm. I understand that it is NOT possible to leave before 5:30pm on Day Two. I understand that attendance at all orientation programming is mandatory.
Student Health Services must receive and process my Student Health History form. If I will be under the age of 18 by the first day of classes, August 27, 2008 then my parent or guardian must sign the form. The form can be obtained from Student Health Services.
If I have family participating in the Rowdy Ties-family orientation program-I acknowledge that the student schedule is separate from the family schedule.
I understand that I must make a non-refundable $50 pre-payment towards the orientation fee in order to confirm my Roundup Reservation. I can make this payment electronically while in the reservation system or in person to Fiscal Services at either the 1604 or Downtown campus.
I understand availability for each Roundup session is available on a first come, first served basis and once a session is full and/or closed I will not be able to make a reservation for that session.
I understand that I should not make travel or lodging arrangements until I have confirmed my Roundup reservation by printing the official confirmation from the Orientation Reservation System.
I understand the university expects Roundup participants to follow the UTSA Student Code of Conduct, and if I am found in violation while at Roadrunner Roundup I will be referred to Student Judicial Affairs and risk dismissal from the session, losing my scheduled advising appointment, and/or cancellation of my course registration; and may have to wait to register for classes once all orientation sessions have been held.
I understand if I possess and/or consume drugs and/or alcohol while at Roundup I will be reported to the UTSA Police Department.
I understand if I create a disturbance or purposely wander off while at Roundup (even if I am with my family members) I risk dismissal from the session, losing my scheduled advising appointment, and/or cancellation of course registration; and may have to wait to register for classes once all orientation sessions have been held.
I understand Orientation and Transition Services assumes no responsibility for the actions of individual students who choose not to participate in the scheduled activities during Roadrunner Roundup programs.
I understand Orientation and Transition Services assumes no responsibility for personal belongings left at Roundup.
In the event that I do not show up to the program date that I have reserved and confirmed through the orientation reservation system. I understand that I will be assessed the remainder of my orientation fee in full this is non-refundable in order to make a new orientation reservation. This payment can be paid in full to Fiscal Services at either the 1604 or Downtown campus. This amount will then be deducted from my new student orientation fee. The remaining balance will then be assessed to my Tuition and Fees bill. I understand that when I no show to an orientation program my options for rescheduling may be very limited and available ONLY in August.
I agree with ALL the above statements regarding my Roadrunner Roundup experience.
