1604 campus - residential experience at chaparral village

All students attending Roadrunner Roundup at the 1604 campus will spend two nights in Chaparral Village, UTSA’s newest apartment style residential community. They will be joined by a team of Residential Orientation Leaders (ROLs) who will provide participants with additional support, advice and assistance with academic planning and schedule making. The ROLs will also host a number of interactive social activities designed to introduce students to one another and campus life.

what’s included

•Two nights in a Chaparral Village four bedroom apartment with semi-private bathrooms. Each student will be assigned a private room in an apartment that is shared with same gender roommates.

• Two dinner meals plus evening snacks and refreshments.

• Additional time with Residential Orientation Leaders who will assist you with preparation for academic advising and course registration.

• Evening social events ranging from pool parties to an evening at the Recreation Center plus movies and various neighborhood-center activities.

• Convenient accommodations all within walking distance of Roundup program sessions and activities.

what you need to know before you arrive

•The Roundup Residential Experience at Chaparral Village is available for freshmen and freshman transfers who are attending a Roadrunner Roundup Program at the 1604 Campus only.

• Students MUST arrive and depart during the scheduled check-in/out periods.

•Check-in for both students and their family members will take place at the Chisholm Hall Activities Complex

what to bring?

Each Chaparral Village apartment is fully furnished and equipped with a kitchenette, living room, four private bedrooms and two full bathrooms. All kitchenettes have a full size refrigerator and a microwave. Each apartment is also equipped with free local and long distance phone service and individual climate control.

***IMPORTANT***

Underage possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs is a violation of UTSA Student Code of Conduct, State, and Federal Laws.  Furthermore, Chaparral Village is a dry community meaning that no alcohol, regardless of age, is allowed on property.  Any Orientation student(s) found with or under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs are subject to Chaparral Village  and UTSA 
Student Judicial Processes and removal from Orientation housing.  Students may also be required to repeat their Roadrunner Roundup (pending approval from Student Judicial Affairs) at an additional expense.
