downtown campus - residential experience at Laurel village

Orientation housing is available for participants attending a Downtown Roadrunner Roundup program. At this time, UTSA does not have campus housing at the Downtown Campus; therefore, students will stay at Laurel Village on the 1604 Campus.

what’s included

  • Two nights in a Laurel Village two bedroom apartment with semi-private bathrooms. Each student will be assigned a private room in an apartment that is shared with same gender roommates.

  • Additional time with Residential Orientation Leaders who will assist you with preparation for academic advising and course registration.

  • Evening social events ranging from pool parties to an evening at the Recreation Center plus movies and various neighborhood-center activities.

  • Opportunity to meet and interact with fellow students attending the same Downtown Roadrunner Roundup program.

  • Transportation will be provided for students participating in the Downtown Residential Experience. Students will not be permitted to drive their personal vehicles to the Downtown Campus.

what you should know before you sign up?

•The Downtown Residential Experience at Laurel Village is available for freshmen and freshman transfers who are attending a Downtown Roadrunner Roundup Program only


• Space is limited, and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must reserve their space in advance. The Downtown Residential Experience is a two night package.


• Students MUST arrive and depart during the scheduled check-in/out periods.


• Check-in for both students and family members (participating in the Family Residential Experience) will take place at the Laurel Village on Sunday from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM.


• Students must make their reservation for the Downtown Residential Experience at the same time that they are making a reservation for a Downtown Roadrunner Roundup program. Reservations will not be taken by phone, email, fax or on-site.


• The Downtown Residential Experience will not be available for the July 7-8 program.

what to bring?

Each Chisholm Hall room is fully furnished and equipped with two twin beds, two desks, two chairs, double vanity, phone service, and semi-private bathroom. Each room is also equipped with individual climate control.
