Bachelor of Science in Public Health with an epidemiology and disease control concentration in the Department of Sociology, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology.

Total gifts COLFA received in the 2011-2012 academic year was $2,020,930, a 219% increase from the previous year.

Enriching Experiences for Everyone

The Department of Philosophy and Classics has created a Twitter feed and blog that focuses on morsels of ancient knowledge and bons mots from classical authors. You can go to: @sentantiq on Twitter and the accompanying blog to get your fix of the most famous quotations from the ancient world for reflection and discussion.


Eduniversal International Scientific Committee based in Paris, France released its rankings for top Masters programs worldwide - COLFA’s Master in Communication ranked 22nd on the list. The rankings were based on an 18-month survey

of 12,000 master’s and MBA programs in the top 1,000 business schools in nine geographical regions. Conducted 2009-2011, the survey covered 153 countries and considered three criteria: (1) reputation of the program; (2) salary of the first employment of the graduates; and (3) satisfaction of the students.

... and one of only 21 in the nation to earn it, for UTSA from the American Council of Trustees and Alumni on its annual “What Will They Learn?” report which grades public and private universities on how well they cover core subjects. COLFA provides four of the seven subjects.
