Physics at UTSA/SwRI

About the Conference

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) are proud to be a host site for one of the 2016 Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP). The CUWiP conferences are three-day regional conferences for undergraduate physics majors showcasing career opportunities available to physicists through plenary talks, panel discussions, laboratory tours and interactive workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to network and interact with over 150 fellow undergraduate women physicists as well as a variety of academic, industrial, and government leaders.



Goals of the Conference

Provide networking opportunities for undergraduate women.

Disseminate information about graduate schools and career opportunities.

Help undergraduate women connect with potential female mentors.

Give undergraduate women the support they need to strive and be successful.

The CUWiP at UTSA and SwRI will be hosting students from the following states: Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
