Welcome to myUTSA
Welcome to UTSA's newest technological initiative...the myUTSA University Portal project. As technologies continue to mature via the internet, more services are being made available for our student, faculty and staff community. On-line classes, grades, billing and personnel management are just a few of the services that are offered through the web.
Incorporating portal technology through the UTSA web will simplify the way we do business with our university. Reduced user sign on, customizable individual home pages, registering and attending online classes are just a few highlights of the capabilities of a centralized portal system.
Each person that logs into myUTSA gains convenient access to content that is appropriate for their role – e.g. as a student or as a member of staff. The user is presented with a standard set of content for their role, but they also have the means to customise what they see in the portal by adding or removing areas of content ("channels") using simple tools.
In addition to the myUTSA project, a content management system (CMS) is also being implemented at UTSA. The CMS will allow web content providers in various departments to provide fresh and accurate content to the web quicker and simpler.
