University environments present unique security challenges that must be met with innovation and commitment. Security Services is always ready to meet the security needs of the university to ensure it remains a safe and secure place to study and work.

Our dedicated team comprises all areas of security for the university. Whether it's uniformed security, camera systems, security systems or access control, Security Services uses the latest technology and security standards to ensure UTSA remains safe. We are also very proud of our student patrol program, Rowdy Watch, which connects student workers with public safety officers to learn about maintaining the safety and security of our campuses. Rowdy Watch students pair up on the Main Campus and Downtown Campus to conduct patrols, provide safety escorts, report security issues with campus facilities, and report suspicious behavior to UTSAPD.
