FAQ?
1. Who can join?

UTSA Club Fencing is open to everyone with an interest in fencing. There are no tryouts, and students can join at any time during the year.

2. Do I need any previous fencing experience?

While experienced fencers are certainly welcome, you do not need any fencing experience to join. We teach beginners everything they need to know during club practices.

3. Do I need equipment?

The club provides all of the necessary equipment. The only thing you need to bring is you!

4. What should I wear?

For practices, you should wear comfortable workout clothes. You'll need to wear some type of athletic pants, such as wind pants or sweat pants. A good pair of tennis shoes is also recommended.

5. Are there membership dues?

After coming to three practices, if you wish to become a member you will need to pay dues. Dues are $40 per semester. These dues help pay for fencing equipment, SWIFA dues, SWIFA tournament registration fees, and travel expenses.
