Answers:
1. How do I play? Where do I begin?

To enter an Intramural Sport, simply submit an entry form online at the "Register Here" page by the deadline posted on the Intramural Sport schedule. Only currently enrolled students, faculty and staff are eligible to participate in the UTSA Intramural Sports Program.


2. What if I don't have a team?

If you don't have a team, use the "Free Agent" link in the Registration page, and we will do our best to place you on a team.

3. How do I know what sports are being played and how to register?

Simply check-out the current semester's Intramural Sport schedule, and the Registration link to register for the current available sports.

4. Where do I register?

Entries for Intramural Sports are only taken online at our Registration page.

5. What is the point system?

The Intramural Sports points system has been established for stimulation of widespread participation in all phases of intramurals as well as other campus recreation programs. Points that are earned by a team or individual representing their organization in any sport or special event count toward the final all-university point standings. You can find a more detailed description of the points system in the Intramural Sports Handbook.


6. Who is eligible to compete in Intramural Sports?

All current UTSA students, faculty and staff.


7. What do I need to play?

In order to participate in Intramural Sports participants must have a current UTSA ID card. Intramurals will not accept other forms of ID, class schedules or banner numbers. NO ID=NO PLAY. Intramural Sports will provide game balls, jerseys, facility and field space and trained student officials. Participating in Intramural sports is a FREE service, so no entry fee is required! Participants may provide their own uniforms, gloves, bats, and balls.


8. What division do you offer?

Most sports offer the following divisions : Men's A (competitive), Men's B (recreational), Women's A (competitive), Women's B (recreational), Co Rec (men and women combined), Greek (Fraternity and Sorority) and Resident Hall. Participants may play on one team per division per sport. Example is a male is allowed to play on one Men's team and one Corec team for basketball. (may not complete on a Men's A team and Men's B team) Once you have played for one team, you are locked to a roster. Teams may add players to their roster until playoffs begin. You can also select a preferred day to play. Days are first come first served basis and the Intramural sports department will do all final scheduling at the captain's meeting for each sport.


9. Are there any other Intramural Sport rules I need to know?

Sports teams and participants must maintain a high level of sportsmanship. Teams are rated teams on a scale of A, B, C, D and F with A being the highest rating, by the Intramural Staff. Teams must maintain a C average to play and a B average in playoffs All other rules are pretty similar to high school and sport specific rules of each sport. Intramurals Sports use a running clock system and have other modifications that are specified in each sport's rules. All other rules are similar to high school association or specific sport associations. Please see the rules page for specifics
