Disability Accommodations

How do I request an accommodation due to a disability?

The key to obtaining appropriate accommodations at UTSA is providing the appropriate documentation. EVERY student who receives accommodations at UTSA must have a documented condition, which constitutes a disability under the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

How to request Testing Accommodations?

If you need disability related accommodations for the TSI Assessment and/or Placement testing, contact Student Disability Services for registration procedures at least 3-4 weeks in advance of your testing date. Due to staffing and space restrictions, we cannot provide accommodations on test day without due notice from Student Disability Services after their review of student paperwork.

How to request Orientation Accommodations?

If you or a family orientation participant need a reasonable accommodation to participate in the orientation program, please contact Orientation and Family Programs at (210) 458-4724 or email orientation@utsa.edu at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled orientation program. (Please note: mobility assistance is not provided).
