Gary Handy

Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and political science from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. He has a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
His professional experience includes teaching high school in a Kansas City school district, serving on the Alumni Board for his fraternity chapter, being a live-in academic advisor for his National fraternity, and serving as the Coordinator of Fraternities and Sororities at Southeast Missouri State University. His job responsibilities include advising all Greek Life programs, advising the Interfraternity Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Order of Omega.

Gary, his fiancé Hailey, and their St. Bernard Penny moved to San Antonio to join the UTSA family in October of 2008.
