Misty Kelley - Associate Director of Student Activities

Misty Kelley received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from Washburn University (1997) and Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Kansas State University (1999). She is currently working on a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education, concentration Higher Education, at the University of the Incarnate Word.
She has worked at The University of Texas at San Antonio since May 1999. She currently is the Associate Director of Student Activities. In her position, she oversees the 275 student organizations and supervises the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff.
Misty has a 9-year-old daughter named Savannah; with whom she enjoys going to the zoo and SeaWorld and doing other fun, family activities. Savannah can be seen at many UTSA events showing her Roadrunner pride.
Service to the community is important to Misty. She has been active in Kappa Alpha Theta since her initiation in 1993. Representing Kappa Alpha Theta, she has served four years with the San Antonio Alumnae Panhellenic Council; including one year as the President. Misty also volunteered for ten years with the Junior League of San Antonio (JLSA) before becoming a Sustaining Member. In the JLSA, she served in volunteer, appointed, and elected positions including Planning Council Chair, Parliamentarian, Corresponding Secretary, and Mentor.
