ANNUAL ELECTION PROCESS
Administrative and Professional Staff (at large)
1. Nominating Ballots - mailed to all eligible members of the professional
staff.
2. All eligible professional staff members nominated will be included
on electing ballot.
3. The Elections Committee will be responsible for verifying eligibility
of nominees and for assuring that a minimum number of candidates are
nominated.
4. Electing ballots will be sent to all professional staff members using "two envelope system" to ensure eligibility and confidentiality.
5. The top six individuals receiving the most votes will become the
professional staff representatives to the UTSA Staff Council.
Classified Staff (by division)
1. Nominating Ballots - mailed to all eligible members of the classified
staff, regardless of area.
2. Nominations will be divided into executive officer area and electing
ballots developed for each area. All eligible classified staff members
nominated from each area will be included on that area's ballot.
3. The Elections Committee will be responsible for verifying eligibility
of nominees and for assuring that a minimum number of candidates are
nominated for each category.
4. Electing ballots specific to each area will be sent to eligible classified
staff members using "two envelope system" to ensure eligibility
and confidentiality.
5. Electing ballots instructions state:
Vote for "N" (number of representatives from their area)
6. The top "N" vote getters in each area are elected as classified
staff representatives to the UTSA Staff Council.
