ALUMNI ASSOCIATION UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $2,000 a year ($1,000 per semester); number of awards varies
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program and attending UTSA as a full-time undergraduate student ( 12 semester hours)
- Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Entering freshmen must have graduated in the top 25 percent of high school class
- Entering freshman must have a minimum SAT score of 900 (CR and M excluding written) or ACT score of 20
- Application requirements: Alumni Association Scholarship application, one letter of recommendation
- Deadline: February 15
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $2,000 a year ($1,000 per semester); number of awards varies
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program and attending UTSA as a full-time graduate student (9 semester hours)
- Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Entering transfer students must have transcripts on file with the UTSA Office of Admissions and Registrar for review by the Alumni Association scholarship committee
- Application requirements: Alumni Association Scholarship application, one letter of recommendation
- Deadline: February 15
SIMONSON/SIPES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $500 a year
- Must be a graduating senior
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must plan to attend law school upon graduation
- Must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by Student Financial Aid
- Preference given to nontraditional applicants
- Application requirements: Simonson/Sipes Memorial Scholarship application, a one page double spaced essay explaining why you need a scholarship and two letters of recommendation
- Deadline: August 15
JOSEPH E. BROWN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $2,000 a year ($1,000 per semester) - awarded by Department of Music; funded by UTSA Alumni Association
- Must be enrolled in a degree seeking program and attending UTSA as a full-time student (15 semester hours)
- Must be music major with voice as the primary instrument
- Must be entering college for the first time as a recent high school graduate (within the last 3 years)
- Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Entering freshmen must be in the top 25 percent of their high school class
- Entering freshmen must have a minimum SAT score of 900 (CR and M excluding written) or ACT score of 20
- Entering freshmen must have transcripts on file with the UTSA Office of Admissions and Registrar for review by the Alumni Association scholarship committee
- Application requirement: Alumni Association Application, Audition in Department of Music and one letter of recommendation
- Deadline: February 15
DR. RICARDO ROMO AND DR. HARRIETT ROMO SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Two awards of $2,000 a year ($1,000 per semester)
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program and attending UTSA as a full-time student ( 12 semester hours)
- Must maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Entering freshmen must be in the top 25 percent of their high school class
- Entering freshmen must have a minimum SAT score of 900 (CR and M excluding written) or ACT score of 20
- Entering freshmen must have transcripts on file with the UTSA Office of Admissions and Registrar for review by the Alumni Association scholarship committee
- Preference given to students who have graduated from Fox Tech High School in San Antonio
- Application requirements: Alumni Association Scholarship application, one letter of recommendation
- Deadline: February 15
THE FRANK AND BEVERLY CHAPMAN SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $2,000 a year ($1,000 per semester)
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program and attending UTSA as a full-time student (12 semester hours)
- Entering college for the first time as recent high school graduate (within the last 3 years)
- Must have and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Entering freshmen must be in the top 25 percent of their high school class
- Entering freshmen must have a minimum SAT score of 900 (CR and M excluding written) or ACT score of 20
- Entering freshmen must have transcripts on file with the UTSA Office of Admissions and Registrar for review by the Alumni Association scholarship committee
- Preference given to students with financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- Application requirements: Alumni Association Scholarship application and one letter of recommendation
- Deadline: February 15
THE PANFELD FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $500 per year
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program and attending UTSA as a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours) or graduate (9 semester hours)
- Must be participating in a UTSA approved internship in the District of Columbia
- Must be a Texas resident who is a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must have and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Entering freshmen must be in the top 25 percent of their high school class
- Entering freshmen must have a minimum SAT score of 900 (CR and M excluding written) or ACT score of 20
- Entering freshmen must have transcripts on file with the UTSA Office of Admissions and Registrar for review by the Alumni Association scholarship committee
- Preference given to students with financial need as determined by the FAFSA
