JOSEPH J. GDOVIN JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 hours)
- Must be a sophomore with a declared major in biology or other related life sciences
- Must demonstrate recognizable merit and have a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- Application requirements: Joseph J. Gdovin Jr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship application and two letters of recommendation

- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student with an expressed interest in ecology
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

MINORITY ACCESS TO RESEARCH CAREERS (MARC) PROGRAM
Award: 15 junior/senior awards of $10,956; tuition and fees and $1200 travel
allowance
- Must be an undergraduate majoring in the field of chemistry or biology
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be committed to attending graduate school and pursuing a career in biomedical research
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Preference given to students with a disadvantaged background
- Application requirements: Two letters of recommendation and statement describing career goals; contact MBRS/MARC Office for more information

IN SCIENCE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
Award: $850 travel allowance; $11,200 for juniors and seniors; awards of $13,500 plus tuition and fees for graduate
students; number of awards varies
- Must be majoring in the field of chemistry or biology
- Must possess a sincere interest in pursuing a biomedical research career
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 for undergraduates or 3.0 for graduate students
