All scholarships awarded by the College of Business require the recipient to
- Be actively pursuing a degree in the College of Business and in good academic standing with the university
- Be enrolled as a pre-business or declared business major
- Meet any other requirements as stated in the scholarship criteria below.
The College of Business has both named and unnamed scholarships with various eligibility requirements for students majoring in business. The number of awards and dollar amounts vary. Applicants will be considered for all awards for which they meet the eligibility criteria.
Awards are made in summer for the academic year (fall/spring). Award amounts are generally divided equally between the two semesters, and students must meet grade and enrollment hour requirements to receive the remainder of the award.
All applicants must complete a College of Business Scholarship Application and provide required narratives (see individual scholarship listings); and resumés summarizing leadership, work experience and community involvement.
The following is a list of College of Business scholarships available currently. These scholarships can change at any time and many are dependent upon renewed funding.
ALAMO ASIAN AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $1,000 per year; number of awards varies
- Must be pursuing a degree in the College of Business at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Undergraduates must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Recipient will agree to attend an official award ceremony presented by the Donor at the time and place agreed to by the Donor and the recipient
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
- Must submit a paper of no less than 600 words resulting from an interview with a business member of the Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce (see www.alamo-aacc.org - then click on "Members")
BARTLETT COCKE EXECUTIVE-IN-RESIDENCE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be pursuing a degree in the College of Business at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Undergraduates must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
BOB & LOYS MICKEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $2500 a year
- Must be a declared major in the College of Business at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Must be enrolled for at least 12 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
BOEING SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Two awards of $2500 a year
- Must be a pursing a degree in the College of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Should have strong interest in The Boeing Company and will be encouraged to apply for Boeing summer internship
- Must have authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis for other than training purposes (student/temporary visas do not qualify)
- Must be enrolled for at least 12 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring
COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be a declared major in the College of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for at least 12 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring
- Narrative on career goals and intentions must demonstrate potential for the future
THE USAA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

- Must be a declared major in the College of Business at the undergraduate or graduate level

- Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours at the undergraduate level
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS VARIOUS DONORS SCHOLARSHIP

Award: One award of $1,500 a year
- Must be a declared major in the College of Business in real estate finance and development at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS VARIOUS DONORS SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be a declared information systems major in the College of Business
- Undergraduates must have completed a minimum of 60 semester credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND STATISTICS - SOUTHWEST ACTUARIAL FORM SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $1,500 a year
- Must be a declared undergraduate actuarial science major
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
DEVIN NEWKIRK MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

- Must be a declared finance major at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Undergraduates must have completed a minimum of 30 semester credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

FARM CREDIT BANK OF TEXAS ANNUAL BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be a declared undergraduate finance, accounting, management or marketing major in the College of Business
- Must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien
- Preference will be given to students from traditionally underrepresented populations in approved majors
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
FIESTA TEXAS SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $500 a year; number of awards vary
- Must be a pursuing a degree in tourism management or in marketing with a tourism concentration
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Among equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to Hispanic or African-American students
- Preference will be given to students demonstrating participation and leadership in community, university, and/or extracurricular activities
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring
DR. AND MRS. ROBERT V. WEST JR. ENDOWED LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be pursuing a degree in the College of Business at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Undergraduates must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
- Preference will be given first to participants in the Leadership Challenge Program in the College of Business. If not possible, then general leadership qualities of business students should be considered.
EMILY ZACHRY ANSLEY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary; rotated annually between the College of Business and the College of Sciences
- Must meet minimum requirements for declaring a major in the College of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must be a Texas resident and citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
ERNEST AND AIMEE BROMLEY ANNUAL GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $5,000
- Must be a graduate student admitted to any graduate business major with preference given to students admitted on a probationary status
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Must be enrolled for 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
- Preference will be given to students who are bilingual in English and Spanish
GAYLE HISSNER PERRON ANNUAL BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $2,250 a year
- Must be a declared major in the College of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
WARNER F. FASSNIDGE ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP IN REAL ESTATE FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT
Award: One award of $2,000 a year
- Must be a declared undergraduate real estate finance and development major in the College of Business
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 6 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
GOVERNOR'S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT

GREATER SAN ANTONIO EDUCATION FOUNDATION ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

- Must be a declared undergraduate construction management or real estate finance and development major in the College of Business
- Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours

HASSLOCHER FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

- Must be admitted to a study abroad or immersion program administered by the College of Business
- Preference will be given to student who will be studying in Brazil
H-E-B ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

- Must be a declared major in the College of Business at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Undergraduates must have completed at least 60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have related work experience in retailing or supervising or campus leadership through present or past officer (chair) status in a professional club or organization
- Narrative on career goals and intentions must express sincere interest in retailing/food area
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
JERRY & MARY KEATING ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN STATISTICS
Award: One award; amount varies
- Must be a declared statistics major in the College of Business
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have attained at least junior class standing as an undergraduate
- Must be enrolled for at least 12 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or at least 6 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
JESSE BAKER ENDOWED CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

- Must be a declared undergraduate or graduate major in construction management or real estate finance and development in the College of Business
- Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate or 9 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as a graduate
JUDY AND JAMES ADAMS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

- Must be pursing a degree in the College of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 credit hours in the fall and spring
- Preference will be given to students demonstrating the greatest financial need as determined by the FAFSA
LIEUTENANT COLONEL PHILIP J. PICCIONE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

NORTH LOOP 410 ASSOCIATION, INC. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award; amount varies (awarded in the fall semester)
- Must be pursuing a degree in the college of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must be a Texas resident
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall
NORTH SAN ANTONIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LEAD SA CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $2500 in spring semester only; number of awards vary and are dependent on available funding
- Must be an undergraduate student attending final semester in spring who has applied for graduation by the appropriate deadline
- Must have completed high school education in Bexar County, Texas
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Demonstrate recognizable merit, leadership skills and interest in community activities
- Financial need is a consideration
- Recipient will be expected to acknowledge the scholarship by participating in a future North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce program or event
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more semester credit hours in the fall and spring
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: A separate scholarship application must be submitted along with a 500 word essay on "Why I am Interested in a Career in Business"
QUINCY LEE MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be a declared major in the College of Business at the undergraduate level
- Must have completed a minimum of 80 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring
- Preference given to applicants who have completed Business Ethics and Principles of Real Estate and who have enrolled in Mortgage Banking and Real Estate Finance
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Must submit a written essay on business ethics to be judged by a joint committee of College of Business and San Antonio Real Estate Council representatives. Essay criteria: Why are ethics important in business?; Three to five pages double-spaced; must cite a minimum of two references. The essay has considerable weight in determining the recipient.
RACKSPACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Award: Two awards at $500 and two awards at $1000
- Must be pursuing a degree in the College of Business at the undergraduate or a graduate level
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Preference will be given to students from demonstrably underrepresented student populations and students whose parents did not complete college

REAL ESTATE COUNCIL OF SAN ANTONIO LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ENDOWMED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary
- Must be a declared major in real estate finance and development (or its equivalent) at the undergraduate or a graduate level
- Undergraduates must have completed a minimum 60 semester credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must demonstrate leadership in campus and community activities
- Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate leadership activities related to the Real Estate Finance and Development Program and those students whose career goals are consistent with the advancement of San Antonio's business community
- Must attach a letter of recommendation from either a Real Estate Finance and Development faculty member or preferably from someone in the real estate industry who can speak knowledgeably of the applicant's career goals and/or real estate industry experience.

Award: Two awards; $6,000 a year (renewable)
- Must be a declared undergraduate management major with a concentration in international business in the College of Business
- Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must have completed high school education in Bexar County, Texas
- Must be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in the fall and spring as an undergraduate
- Renewable for an additional year provided the student maintains the minimum selection criteria stated above and maintains at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA within his/her major
WILLIAM MASTORIS JR. ENDOWED BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP
